For the first time in a long time I’m happy, from the end of 2011 to the end of 2012 I lived on peoples couches, slept on the subway and a few parks and at one point only made 730 dollars a month and rented a room in the slums of jersey city with a crack head and a guy who beat his wife daily and had a 7 dollars a week food budget. I did 3 west coast tours one with 50 dollars and the other two with 150 dollars, an lived off cup of noodle and cheese sandwiches and tuna and what ever people gave me while on tour. I’ve maintained a apartment for a year and for the first time since 07 I live above the poverty line… My battle was up hill but the thing that means the most is that family and friends kept me afloat the whole time. I some times come off as a hard ass (pause) specially with this music shit cuz I beyond payed my dues, do a show in Tucson and sleep at a closed bus station with three other homeless dudes and come back to me?
